DESCRIPTION:Rooted in natural soundscapes and highlighting the fragility of the environment\, singer\nand violinist Violeta Vicci is a multi-faceted contemporary classical and electronic artist.\nBarcelona born\, London based\, Violeta spends a lot of time in Switzerland where she\ntakes her inspiration from. She’s opened for the Orb’s extensive UK tour\, Marconi\nUnion and System7 and collaborated with artists like Thom Yorke\, Clint Mansell\, Elbow\,\nFontaines DC\, Jonny Greenwood\, Liam Gallagher\, Sophie Ellis-Bextor\, Hauschka and\nBat For Lashes. Her music has received national and international radio play on BBC\nRadio3\, BBC6 Music\, RAI3\, RNE\, KEXP\, Dublab\, Radio Hanover and she has\nperformed at The Royal Albert Hall\, Paris Philharmonie\, Club Paradiso and festivals\nsuch as British Summer Time\, SGP and Glastonbury.\nVioleta started playing the violin aged four and gave her concert debut aged fifteen.\nShe moved to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music and has released three\nstudio albums to date. Her debut album AUTOVIA\, produced by legendary Martin\nGlover ‘Youth’\, bridges the gap between the acoustic and electronic worlds. Her\nsecond solo album Mirror Images’ has been hailed by the Strad Magazine as “A\nremarkable concept album” and her third album Cavaglia\, takes to translating a pristine\nSwiss valley and its surrounding lakes and glaciers\, into music.
